I am starting 2018 off by finally launching a website and social media accounts for my photography work (I will be adding design project in shortly as well). As a graphic design student, I have been tweaking my own website for literally years and never publishing, but it was time to finally get something live! With that being said, I figured the best first blog post I could make is a recap post of my favorite images taken in 2017. Enjoy and welcome to my new site and blog!
I really wanted to take more photos of those that I love this year.
My family dog, Frodo, had his last moments in 2017. I miss him dearly.
I also spent a lot of time taking photos of my other fur-babies: the two living with me are these sweethearts, my littermates Max and Furiosa.
I met some other cuties too - a professional Staples shopper, a sad kitty who was adopted quickly the next day from Meowtropolitan Cafe, my neighbor Gunther, and my sister's new kitten Zelda.
I celebrated 5 years with my boyfriend.
Participated in the Women's March on Washington.
Played around with new gear and techniques.
Photographed the Seattle Flower and Garden Show.
I went to a bunch of fantastic concerts.
I shot my friend Alex's wedding to his now wife Erin in Carnation, WA.
I photographed the 2017 Sound Off! competition finalists at KEXP and then at the finale show at the EMP (now the Museum of Pop). 2017's winner was Jason McCue.
I shot the very first Upstream Music Festival in Pioneer Square for KEXP.
I visited New York twice, once in April and once in August.
I ate a bunch of yummy food.
....and finally, I appreciated the sights around the beautiful city I live in. Thank you, Seattle.
